This is a TS Trailer Second 70170 from a Class 501 unit. It was used at MOD Marchwood along with DTBSO 75186 as a loco hauled passenger train. The bars on the windows were fitted as a safety device by BR to prevent passengers leaning out the windows on the Hampstead line. Each bar on the model is 7mm long and was a long and laborious task to fit them.
