So first effort with airbrush and weathering powders. I wanted a real rust bucket to sit on a disused bit of railway, I’ve been able to not worry too much if it looked a bit of a wreck. The wagon was one of a cheap collection of three. An original is included for comparison. I was in general quite pleased with it and still am but I have read that you should fix the weathering by giving it a coat of Matt varnish. This really darkened the finish. If anyone has any pearls of wisdom regarding a finish that will allow the original worked finish to be preserved then I would value the help.
