This is how I remove paint from diecast models before repainting. The quickest way I find is to use boiling water and caustic soda. A word of caution, caustic soda is an extremely corrosive. Always use gloves and eye protection when using it.Pic 1 shows the items needed. Pic 2 is where the dirty deed takes place, a bog standard Pyrex jug. The items are placed in the jug and boiling water added to about 2/3rds the way up. Pic 3 is the caustic soda in granular form. Two caps filled as shown will do the trick usually. ALWAYS ADD THE CAUSTIC SODA TO THE WATER, never the other way round otherwise you will get a violent reaction causing the soda and water to splash everywhere. Pic 4 shows the water added to the jug and pic 5 the soda is reacting with the water and starting to remove the paint.
