#Just some of the more interesting vehicles that I drove throughout my army career. That's me in the cab. The first one is a 6x6 HMLC Stalwart, a brilliant bit of kit. The 2nd one is 6x6 AEC Militant, know as a tenny ( 10 tonner), Milly or a knocker, for the sound of the compressor. These had crash gearboxes and not synchromesh gearboxes. The 3rd one is and Eager Beaver 4x4 high mobility fork lift, the 4th is a CVR(T) Scorpion. CVR stands for Combat Vehicle, Reconnaissance(Tracked). The last one is the Bedford MK fitted with UBRE, Unit Bulk Refuelling Equipment, consisting of two 200 gallon tank, a rack for oils and greases and a diesel engine to power the pump.
