Hi all, Just thought I'd post a bit of extra insight on the Hornby price increase as I know some of you (myself included) can be a bit sceptical as to the reasons for the increase. One thing Hornby did point the finger at was "increased shipping costs"... Anyway a regular customer of mine works in the shipping industry both domestic and internationally, he tells me that the cost of a 40ft container from China has risen from $1,100 (app. £790) to $18,000 (app £12,950) and despite that they were still struggling to find a space to get it shipped.... that's quite a phenomenal increase! Anyway, hope that helps shed some light on that situation for you all :)
