Good afternoon all. I have been a member for sometime but this is my first post. My return to OO9 narrow gauge modelling after 35+ years was with a test piece. With all the new ready to run rolling stock arriving now(2020) seemed like a good time to rekindle my interest. Back in the 1980’s it was Peco crazy track and n gauge chassis with white metal bodies. How times have changed.Using the newer Peco ‘mainline’ track and no points I made a start. The circle of track is mounted on an old cable drum 60 cm or 24 inches in old money, in diameter. I wanted to test out some new skills as I hadn’t constructed a new layout of my own since the 1990’s. These being static grass and Derbyshire Drystone walling using individual stones made from DAS air drying clay. The images are from a couple of years work (completed in 2022) with a few additional features added since. image 1 the fireman takes a break as the local rabbits scatter with the passing of the train. Modelu rabbits are not the easiest things to paint. image 2 . Quarry Hunslet passing through Image 3 General view of the dry stone walling. Beware of the trains is a SMS product.
