Here’s the latest update for the Cowan Sheldon 10 ton hand-crane, also known as a Triang R 127 crane. The tension lock coupling mounts have been removed and tidied up, the out riggers have been replaced by plastic versions from the old Airfix Booth Ridley diesel crane kit. I’ve added details to represent the suspension locks above the springs , including the operating wheels for each one. The tool boxes at the ends of the vehicle have had lids added along with more to scale jib holdy steady whatchamacallits. Does anyone have a copy of Vol 3 , Railway Cranes by Peter Tatlow? I’m looking for measurements for the jib, ie length and width at the far end near the hook. The book is out of print at the moment so any help with said measurements would be greatly appreciated. More updates soon.
