As I said last night here is a workshop of how I constructed a rolling road / Loco Tester. Based on the 12 wheel DCC Rolling Road. I constructed the superstructure from 9mm Ply giving a really solid framework and fillets of 1 inch square timber at each corner glued and screwed so giving the stiff framework. As can be seen in the workshop there is a 20 volt voltmeter and 2 Amp meters 1 1 amp ammeter and a 5 amp ammeter. Using my digital multi meter as a reference point all these analogue meters are quite accurate with their readings. The three tracks all have separate on off switches to cut power to the appropriate track. Power is supplied from an external sixteen volt ac supply from a Marshall controller but you could fit a 16volt transformer inside the unit but would increase the weight a bit. An old Gaugemaster panel mount controller which was water damaged was resurrected by myself and supplies the track power though the direction switch is permanently fixed to one position to let the voltmeter read in both directions. To avoid a Short Circuit occurring when the new direction switch is operated a bridge rectifier is inserted to the output to the track power.
