Bit of an update on my concrete depot using Hobbycraft concrete paste for those interested. It's pretty much done apart from some small touching up. Ended up using masking tape to get a straighter edge. Still need to weather it but that's not on my urgent list! It's awful to sand without the right sandpaper. You need the really course but thick sheets at about 80 grit to sand it off. Conclusion? It looks pretty good. Maybe not as neat as other methods. I think for O gauge it would be perfect, for OO it might be okay, it works in N just need to be careful around the rails.
