To all the steel mill experts. Are cast houses generally open on three sides, with the furnace at one end like in the photo? I did wonder if this was a safety thing or not, particularly under the floor where the wagons go, to provide as many escape routes as possible. I need to justify applying some artistic licences to my layout as room is limited 🤔 #steelmill
