Does anyone here have experience with fitting smoke generators into locos or carriages etc? I want to fit one into my caboose, and having researched the subject a lot of people say don't bother or be careful because the heat can easily melt the plastic. Now that sounds obvious, but, there are models that have them fitted and people do retro fit them. So any advice? Are there good ways to insulate the generator or add heat sinks to wick away the heat? I am not planning to run the generator for long period, but just enough to create some smoke for a few seconds, every now and again. Thanks in advance. #caboose #on30 #smokegenerator
