I managed to pick up a couple of the Bachmann Blue/Grey MK1 postal vans (NSX) recently to add to my Royal Mail train. These coaches (39-425A) come factory weathered & this is more than a dusting of ‘track dirt’ along the side of the vehicles….. The effect applied to the roof is worthy of note & brings added realism to these - especially as viewing is normally from above. I realise weathering or distressing is a personal taste. In reality, pristine stock would have appeared fresh out of the paint shop but very quickly would become ‘work stained’ in every day use. Do you have a preference regarding weathered or pristine stock?
