Here comes the 'Maid' - fresh out of the shops running light down to Shawbridge. Why did I choose this particular engine? Way back in the 70s I lived in Guildford which is often thought of as being the inspiration for Astolat in the legend & I was a junior member of the Astolat Model Railway Circle (the club's still going - any members here?!) so the 'Maid of Astolat' is an entirely appropriate choice!
