Evening. Up to our ears with this 1:32 scale project. Half enjoying it. Half hating every minute! But it’s finally starting to take shape. Backscene done. Farmhouse and cow shed installed and lighting all ready to connect up. Posh white pebbles in place around the farm house and the base layer of the main yard applied but not yet secured with glue. Got to add some climbing foliage up the sides of the farm house and weather the wall in front of the cow shed. It’s also a bit of a mix of scales as its design to show off a fancy piece of eco technology for converting cow poo into electricity. So we’re using some Hornby pylons at the back to show you can feed the electricity you generate back to the national grid! The pylons were easy to build but looked really plasticky. So we gave them a quiet coat of Matt acrylic lacquer to remove the horrible shine, which made the world of difference. Then dry brushed them with a little white and black acrylic to weather them down a bit and now they look much much better! Starting on the static grass tomorrow and making some round bales as well as finishing off some of their processing plant so that can be installed. After that there’s loads of foliage to add and it’ll be our first go at using rubberised horse hair for hedges. Fingers crossed it’ll all go ok!
