Good morning all and its been a long time, 2 months plus in fact so, sorry if you fell of your chair but its been an interesting, busy and also at time frustrating couple of months. Modelling wise, not much has happened unfortunately. Work has been the big one as normal with the end of the summer season and landlords and agents wanting jobs completed so that’s kept us busy. Then, my poor dad caught Norovirus, we think from one of the carers that go in daily and we were due to go to Halifax to visit our eldest but unfortunately the day before both Sharon and myself caught it so that break never happened. That’s one nasty bug and that too a good 14 days to get over it so that was living in the bathroom for at least the first week 😢, definitely not recommended! Because so far this year, with the exception of the Steam gala at Swanage in June and then I went to the GB Rail Freight Diesel Gala at the Nene Valley Railway in September😁 , I personally have not had a break this year. We were due to go back to Poole (regarded as home) to see our relatives and friends but again that never happened because we feared for the health of my dad so all in all this year has been a bit of a right-off. Fingers crossed, Halifax will happen in November and we are planned to visit friends in Scotland as well just before Christmas so hopefully that will go ahead but I do worry about Dad. On a positive thought, he was 94 years on the 4th October so happy birthday to him and at least he felt better so could enjoy a bit of birthday cake 😊. I have not gone fully back over all your posts but the ones that I have looked at, there is some great modelling going on which I cant say that same for myself. So I thought that for this post, I would add some photos from the Deisel Gala rather than modelling and then do modelling posts later, I hope that you like them.
