Post No.4, is a Point/Switch. Showing the retro fitted tie bars. These are tubular in design and really quick to install for the S&T ( Signals & Telegraph department or otherwise known as the Sick & Tired π ). All of these tie bars white so itβs easy to see them. Pic 2, shows the back drive fitted on the 6β side. These help to move the heal of the switch an take strain off of the point motor. You can see the point motor in pic 3 the box in the cess, these are clamp lock points easily identified by the yellow covers on the outside of the rails in the first bed of the switch toe, these detection to show the signaller weather the points are normal or reverse are under the yellow covers. These points are hydraulic powered with an electric motor.
