I have been thinking about an exhibition layout for several years. But other things needed to fall in into place, so several months ago the stars aligned and myself and two friends have taken the plunge. Based on the old lines in Londonderry NI. The set up was rather unusual, with four separate lines, owned by four separate companies, two on either side of the river Foyle. Two were 3ft and two were 5ft 3in gauge. Two ran in Northern Ireland, and two ran across the border into the South. There was also a mechanical horse, dual gauge running across the lower deck of the Craigavon Bridge, with two wagon turntable’s, one at either end. We decided to start on the East side of the river, I thought that would be the easier side to start😒, three boards, so about 20 ft in length. One board at a time. The first board will be top left in the first photo.
