Modeller’s Inspiration No. 132. In life, not everything is ‘straight’! When creating our miniature worlds, we are looking to make the layout as realistic as possible. In our perfect recreation everything is as it should be - straight, upright & perfect, but life isn’t like that….. We may be disappointed if an item we have installed on our model railway isn’t exactly as it should be & will go to many lengths to remove & reinstate this but if you look around not everything is ‘perfect’. I have attached some examples for you to consider & there are many, many more (street lamps, traffic lights, road signs etc). So the next time you make a ‘mistake’, why not leave it as it is as it will be most likely be ‘prototypical’ & could actually be seen in the real world. Food for thought…..
