This is a long closed cinema, on East Port, Dunfermline. It was, as you can see, Orient Express, and was owned by CAC group. Later sold to Robins cinemas, it eventually closed in 2002, following the new Odeon at Fife Leisure Park, in the east of the city. It became a sports bar on the lower level, and a disco on the upper level, with access from James Street, but both now closed. It's a good modelling idea, but, I was watching a video on YouTube, where Justin was building the LX239-OO parish noticeboards, and the wall mounted ones, would actually be good for anyone building a cinema, either say the Metcallfes kit, or a scratchbuild to their own design. The wall mounted ones could be used to display what's on, future attractions, and the programme guide. Notice, when the cinema was Orient Express, the programme guide was the Timetable, and the screens weren't called house, or screen, or cinema, but pullman. I'll actually have to buy a pack of LX239-OO, to put two wall mounted ones on the rebuilt Quadrant Park nightclub in 2025! As an aside, the LX239-OO could also be used to display bus timetables, as United Automobile Services, Cumberland Motor Services, and Southdown buses, back in the day, had these in places, and indeed, Stagecoach in Cumbria still uses a couple of them. I was only ever in the Orient Express once, a three screen cinema, which was quite cramped. Imagine trying to cycle round your living room? That how cramped it was! http://www.scottishcinemas.org.uk/scotland/dunfermline/picture.php?loc=orient.html&filen=dunfermline_orient_1990_1_dk.jpg http://www.scottishcinemas.org.uk/scotland/dunfermline/picture.php?loc=orient.html&filen=dunfermline_orient_1990_2_dk.jpg
