Another later start at work this week meant I ticked off another job that Ive been meaning to do for ages, and upgrade the layouts computer. The layout is DCC, but runs using JMRI running on a Raspberry Pi 4 with a Pi-Sprog DCC interface. Ive upgraded the Pi to one with more memory, and hopefully for Christmas will receive an updated Pi-Sprog unit which has a dedicated programming track output. Once I'd swapped out the Pi, it was time to clone the OS image onto a back up flash drive, just in case of issues in the future. #dcc #jmri #raspberrypi
