With all the mayhem predicted over at Bradford Westgate with both the East Coast and West Coast lines being blocked by bad weather, and everything being diverted via Westgate, it appears the local school boys have bunked off for the day and taken over the loco spotters platform kindly provided by Bradford Borough Council to encourage said spotters not to climb over the fence for a better view. British Railways have also sent along a Transport Policeman to keep an eye on proceedings. I based this scene on the viewing platform provided by the old London County Council in July 1959. This a link to a photo of the very platform I spent my loco spotting days on before other interests took over. https://images.app.goo.gl/i7nPvWgeMHuyZANx9 I don't think it breaks copyright to link to an online photo, does it? So our intrepid loco spotters in Bradford are waiting for what might appear from underneath Arkwright and Sons' foundry. Maybe someone has a video, sorry, cine camera, to record what came next.
