Messr’s Bodgit and Scarper have finally returned to Brockholme to carry on with the upper deck for the mainline. This is the section that trains will flash through before disappearing under the station to storage or continue round to the depot. It’s only a 30cm opening but a 47 with some illuminated Mk2’s will look great speeding through. They’ve told me that the deck will sit neatly on the steelwork and, having gone out with my spirit level, I’m surprised by the actual outcome! There’s only a bit more to build so that then, the bow string bridge will carry the line over the junction beneath and join up with the back wall. There will be a red brick wall covering the edge of the plywood and then, I’m going to get creative with the remaining steel beams above. As a company once stated, ‘We’re Getting There…’ SMS kits used so far - Palisade fencing, scaffolding and two different style beams (as seen in earlier photos). Don’t forget that there’s a Special Interest Group for Brockholme that you can click to join. I’m might even add a few live videos there tomorrow whilst work progresses! #brockholme #brockholmebank #brockholmetmd
