Well folk, eight days into the new year and no modelling! So what have I been up to? Reminiscing mainly! Where did my interest in scratch-building begin? As I mentioned before on this forum, my interest in Model Railway Exhibitions drew my attention to the detail that went into constructing the layouts - the terrain, hills, valleys,bridges, tunnels and the many and varied types of buildings on the layouts! To be told that the majority of the layout was "scratch-built" including the buildings, really intrigued me! How can you make something like an engine shed, farm house, farm out buildings and many many other buildings from scratch? Well, as they say "you cannot say that you have failed until you have tried" - six years later, I have managed to build that "engine shed" but the path to that model, brought quite a lot more!!
