A quick bit of weathering this evening as I start thinking about the harbour wall baulks. After I cut the baulks from balsa, they were treated with garden wood stain and left to dry. As part of the trial, one was given a tan coloured basecoat while the other was left with stain. Then they were both treated to some dry brushed green and grey before some muck around the bottom at the tide mark. The result is very pleasing, I think some can get a basecoat and others can stick with the wood stain, and I think I can go ahead and do the whole lot now.
