1F00 needing recovery from St.Helens, this was screwed down and in my engineering worksite last night. Due to a tree falling onto the overhead lines and bringing down the catenary wire and the return conductor wire. This was just 1 of 2 trains stabled in worksites last night, the first pic shows the overheads team making repairs along side an just beyond the train. The last of the 3 pics shows that the emergency sanders have been used hence the white band on the wheel. The other train was at Bryn station with apparent damage to the cab roof and the pantograph that’s not in the best condition after hitting the tree and the downed wires on the Up St. Helens. Both units will have to be recovered this morning to be able to reopen the line. All repairs completed and my worksite handed back with an overrun to a planned possession.
