Mid morning in Owley, and tea break time at the Dairy. Two of the workers have wandered down to chat to Signalman Ned Gaffney. Sam Baverstock, driver of the 14xx is keen to get away back to Newton, but despite several blasts on the whistle, Ned is not moved. He knows that Sam is going nowhere until he pulls the relevant levers.......besides, Sam owes him a pint from two months ago, and Ned has a good memory!!!
