June 2024 was a very proud moment for me. 50 years ago I was a young 23 year old Fireman on the first passenger train on the KESR. 50 years on and I was a VIP passenger!! We had a double headed train to Northiam, changed to another train to Bodiam where a bus took us to Roberts bridge for a short ride behind Brittiana! 1) The crew of the VIP train, my Son now a Driver, second left. 2) Me and my mate Alan being interviewed by a rather nice reporter 😁. I'm on the right. 3) Colin my old Driver, now 89. We made his day! 4) Brittiana rounds the curve from Northbridge Street. 5) All the family at Tenterden. Daughter, Son, Grandson, Son-in-law to be and my Granddaughter. Somehow it all went wrong when I posted the video. Hopefully you can work out the captions 🙄
