Todays unboxing has revealed a rake of the Cappagh wagons. (Totally forgot I bought these it's been so long) First thing to say is these are Hornby Railroad models, and it's plain to see. They have those terrible huge D couplings molded as part of the bogies, along with nasty plastic wheelsets. The wagon body and livery are actually OK, and with some better wheels, NEM pockets fitted, and some weathering, these should end up satisfactory. The RRP for these was £20 a wagon 😲, but no way was I paying that. Got them from various outlets all at hugely discounted prices. One as low as £11. These are being sold at crazy prices online and defo not worth it. Anyway, a project to start soon. 👍
