Modeller’s inspiration No. 149. Anti-trespass panels. Located at the end of platforms can be found anti-trespass panels. Introduced in the early 2000’s by Rosehill Rail using recycled rubber (from life expired car tyres) these are sometimes referred to as ‘Witches’ hats’. These are designed to prevent any access beyond the designated areas that the public may stray onto. Made from a recycled rubber & therefore a black colour, these are designed to be difficult to walk on. These are fastened to the platform ends either using a waterproof adhesive or secured with mechanical anchors. Either way to provide a long lasting in situ life. If you are looking to replicate this in model form you are in luck as Scale Model Scenery can provide these in 00 gauge as AX101-00.
