Here's a bit more of a look at #projectwarehouse. When I started EGPA, I really wanted to get a sense of small trains surrounded by big industry, which is where the idea for the extendable back scenes came in. Naturally, a dock layout needed somewhere to store goods that have come off ships and vice versa. The challenge was how to accommodate such a large building and the removable back scenes. Long story short, I came up with a design that split over the two boards. Using a wooden base very kindly done by @justin.noble, there's then a layer of mounting board, covered in embossed brick to give strength. The windows (all 60 of them!) are SMS #lx171 kits with a row of panes removed then the two halves glued together. SMS quoins have been used to hide some of the gaps in the corners which works ok if you don't look too close. It's going to have more detailing done when time and budgets allow, with drain pipes, details on the loading bay, and maybe a canopy, but it's a major milestone that I'm very happy has been reached. #easterweekend #scratchbuild #scratchbuilding
