Just when it’s all going really well and you’re sure you’re on top of everything something comes up that leaves you baffled. If you know your electrics see if you can enlighten me on this one. The new layout is wired from the existing bus wires from Lock Down. During the process of build so far the layout has mirror the polarity of the existing layout, it’s basically red to the rear, as opposed to black to the back( didn’t know about such things when building Lock Down.) So today has been a really good day, I built my incline, remodelled the engine shed area and got to a position where I could join Lock Down and Camels Crossing and run an inaugural loco. That was until I tried connecting the track. A short, with no obvious reason. The video shows the loco running in one direction on both upper and lower tracks at Lock Down and when it’s jumped over the break in track it runs in the same direction. However putting the track together gives an immediate short. You can hear the buzz in the video. I’ve tried reversing the polarity on Camels Crossing makes no difference still shorts. Any ideas greatly appreciated.
