Weathering the girder bridge. 1. Wash all over with one part paint and 5 parts water to get a slightly coloured finish (2) and allow to dry. 3. Dust the tops and side with this powder to get the desired finish (4). 5. Using extra hold hairspray, very lightly spray the area, taking care not to blow the powder off. 6. Let the hairspray dry for a minute so to surface is tacky and dust the second colour pigment to the desired effect (7), then repeat using the hairspray (8). 9. Add a third colour pigment and dust over the tacky hairspray (10) and allow to dry completely. 11. Using a small wide brush stipple acrylic varnish over the entire area taking care not to smudge the powders (12), and allow to dry completely. Once everything is dry, repeat from step one if you wish.
