For our next video by Free Documentary channel, we head over to China. The Chinese for over 50 years have dreamed of connecting the Tibetan city of Lhasa to the rest of China's national rail network. This railway would prove to be a very difficult engineering project. The 1142km railway isn't the longest, but it has to contend with permafrost, earthquakes, and dangers & issues of been up at extreme altitudes, which made the Qinghai-Tibet line very challenging to build.
