Okay, as promised, some photos of my layout in Greece, as it is today. I took the lift out bridges out and I decided to check for buckling of the rails, as the temperature in the railway room is 30.1deg.C now. As you can see, all is well, so I am so glad I put the gaps in when I laid the track. My advice to someone a while back was about right, as most of the joints are almost closed up! As you can also see, I am preparing to spray the rails with rust, so lots of masking tape going down and ‘crunchy nut corn flakes’ packets protecting the trains still on the layout and the SMS blue brick paper platform fronts. Top temperature today was 38.8 in the shade, with a hot wind again, like yesterday. This is unusual and it is extremely tiring for an old geeser like me! So I’m relaxing and catching up on all your posts.
