While we were staying in York over the Easter weekend we decided to go to Whitby on the NYMR. We arrived in plenty of time and Alfie was excited that their class 37 was sat waiting in the station. Unfortunately due to a huge fire on the moors on Saturday, the first train to Whitby was cancelled and it was unclear if any trains would run passed levisham. We decided to drive instead which was disappointing but we still had a good day out.
