So, we're moving, to a place where there is no room for a sizeable layout. Which means what little progress I have made is now scrubbed and binned. However, thanks to @Chandwell (who introduced me to said software) I am now tinkering and designing in Inkscape all the signs, maps, adverts, buildings etc that will make it to my fictitious corner of 1940s London. Furthermore, we'll be moving again fairly soon to a bigger place where a bigger, better layout and all these things can be placed. Photo shows where I have decided Luciton Park and it's new housing can be found. I don't think it looks too bad if you close one eye and squint with t'other.
