Dad was a Flight Engineer during the war on his beloved Halifax powered by Hercules engines. 36 odd years ago the only model of the Halifax that I could get was with Merlin engines. I bought two Beaufighter models and grafted the engines on to the Merlin version. The model formed a very basic diorama. As you can see I still have the model and she will one day be part of a hard standing diorama.
