HM 7000 and DT602: I wanted to share this to maybe save a few wrinkles for someone else.: After a few brief hours (more like 30) pulling out what few white hairs I have left, here's what I found: After successfully getting the Black 5 with steam working properly, including the address of 4472, using my phone, I selected DCC as a source. Nothing; silence. Shut down the system, re-select the loco on the DT602 - nothing, just like it didn't exist. Then, I realized it was acting as if I had not set the long address on the programming track. I tried 03, the stock address, and it worked! Proceeded to do set the long address on the programming track, put 'er back on the mainline, called loco #4472, AND IT WORKED! It actually functions better than on the phone. (The slowing rate gets no response at STOP on the phone, but on DCC it works with just the right amount of coasting. Also F24 - not F23 - toggles the steam on and off.) Without doing anything else, like "dispatching" the loco with the DCC controller, I told the phone to set control mode back to Bluetooth, and the transition was seamless. I can switch back and forth effortlessly to operate DCC or to change CV's Bluetooth-ly.
