Good evening train people! Hope that you are all well. Probably one for @Wagons Mike I bought a rake of Bachmann Branchline 37-850 104 ton Thrall HTA bulk coal hopper in EWS livery from Hattons a while back. Finally got them set up on the big layout last week. Now then, approximately half of them have tension lock couplings fitted to the bogies, the other half, Kadees fitted to the chassis, the Kadee gearbox enclosed with a piece of colour coded plastic, suggesting it came like that from the factory. And interestingly, on of the rake of wagons has a Kadee at one end and a tension lock at the other - good news as it meant I could run the full rake together! So! Was the Kadee coupling fitted as standard, or was it an optional extra, or possibly included in a bag of bits with the wagon? And does anyone know what Kadee coupling was fitted. Looks like its made of brown plastic, not metal. Would like to upgrade the rest of the rake as the Kadees keep the wagons closer together, looking more prototypical! Cheers, Ross.
