While we’ll documented by @Iain Leach and plenty others, while I was doing some soldering I thought I’d document it for you to see how I do it! 1) start of by marking where your droppers need to go, and cut away the webbing from the sleepers to give some room 2) clean the area you wish to solder with a file and glass fibre pen 3) with a tiny amount of solder, tin the area while using plenty of flux 4) cut two pieces of thin wire to length. I can’t remember what type this is, 0.8/32 rings a bell? Strip 5/10mm off one end (this will go to your bus connection or controller). Strip as little as possible off the other (approx 1mm) and bend it over 90 degrees. 5) Tin the 90 degree 1mm piece of wire 6) carefully solder the wire to the bottom of the rail! Sorted! Now you can paint the solder join, drill two appropriate holes and connect them up to your bus or controller!
