Following on from creating 1 automated ABC section of track, I have now created 3 sections of track (1 for each different route) all ABC controlled and with synchronised Dapol semaphore signals. This video shows 6 locos and different types of trains - King Edward V pulling 5 carriage Bristollian train, King Charles II pulling a train of 3 Siphons - these on my longest mainline, Castle Class Earl of St Germans pulling 4 carriage Torbay Express & Cookham Manor pulling 3 carriage train of suburban non corridor on my shorter mainline, finally, 56xx pulling a train of 2 non corridor carriages & a 64xx pulling an autocoach on my branchline. The video shows the trains pulling up at signals which have been activated by infrared sensors in the track, the sensor also operates the signal. Probably my biggest single project on the layout in terms of what I had to get my head around - that being said, once I had, it was pretty strightforward - just took a lot of wiring up - well over 100m of cable used in this project!
