Peak Forest 10th August 2022: 60062 ‘Sonia’ in Steel livery is seen approaching Peak Forest with the 6H02 0930 JEA BM empties from Warrington Arpley to Tunstead. It will leave the train for loading and head up to stable at Peak Forest Up Sidings as the 0P50 1205 Tunstead to Peak Forest Up Sidings. After stabling, it returns light engine to Tunstead as the 0P51 1534 Peak Forest Up Sidings to Tunstead and then departed with the 6F05 1634 Tunstead to Lostock. It would stop at Peak Forest train crew location, the old Peak Forest station, to pick up a shunter, and drop them off on the way back. There were still DB 60’s on stone traffic back then…… With new wagons on the high seas from Cavalex, I am going to recreate a version, wagons won’t be exactly the same, of this working which will go nicely on Carlettbrook 😊
