Hello This is my layout, Park Road. Based nowhere in particular, but I am trying to keep a time frame of around 1980 - 1982, so all BR Blue. I started the layout in May/June 2024, with the main bulk of what you see being completed by that December. There was a slight hiatus up until late July 2025 (which was when, not so coincidentally, Bachmann released their new 08), but since then, the lighting has been installed, which adds a lot of atmosphere at night, and many small details, many of which have come from Scale Model Scenery, with more to come. The main layout is 2.1m long by 0.4m wide. This is the largest layout I can fit in my study, but it does what I want it to do. The layout is portable, so hopefully one day it will see time on the show circuit. I have a board built, 1.2m long, to extend the layout to incorporate a wagon repair depot, to add further interest in operation, although I will struggle to set this up at home. All locos are (and will be from here on in) DCC sound fitted I have attached some photos, two of which provide a comparison between September 2024 and a few weeks ago.
