SCRATCH BUILD A CHURCH/CHAPLE - A little more progress on this project - I have managed to fit the barge boards and the interior has been prepared and fitted with LED’s. I have used 12v strip LED’s for this model. The little strip (3 LED’s) has been made into a little "fitting" made from strips of 1.5mm plastic just to keep it looking neat. I have used drinking straws to channel the wires across the roof and down the side - again rather than just hot glue the wires in - it does look neater. I have also "sealed" around the interior of the windows to prevent light from seeping through any minor discrepancies when fitting the frames. The barge boards were made from small strips of pine and painted brown with acrylic paint. The windows were to be fitted with the "glass" at this stage but unfortunately the glaziers have lost the actual glass to be used!! (I cannot find my sheet of frosted acetate! 🙁) The back of the build cannot therefore be fitted until I either find my "glass" or source a similar product - my frosted acetate was sourced from old diaries and was really good for the purpose of "opaque" windows.
