The class 345 ‘Aventra’ is a fleet of EMU passenger trains built by Bombardier (now Alstom) in Derby for use on London's Elizabeth line (formally Crossrail). A total of 70 nine-car units – each able to carry 1,500 passengers – were constructed between 2015 and 2019, at a cost of over £1 billion. First entering service in June 2017. With their striking livery, these air condition units have been a revelation since their introduction. Ideal for passengers looking to bisect the capital (east to west) as well being able to provide a quick and reliable service into the heart of London. If you haven’t experienced this service yet, I can certainly recommend it.
