Hello Modellers, I am a long time kit builder, RTR detailer and general dabbler. I have taken the name Shravecutting as I live in Four Marks on the Watercress line and pass over the cutting bridge every time I take my dog for a woodland walk. I can hear the trains from my house and this week's visitor was an easily recognisable A4 with that dual tone whistle. I was starting to build a loft railway when cancer struck my wife and then myself and recovery morphed into empty nesting and house downsizing as the last child married and left home, so I am finally preparing for a garage layout to run my SR M7's and N15's. While I empty the garage of the last motorbike (+ many spares) and children's belongings I have extracted kits that I bought 20 years ago and attempted some assembly. If any member has successfully built a D.C.Kits Class 205/3H Hampshire "Thumper" I would welcome advice. The roofs have twisted so I will replace with aluminium but the powered motor bogie is not covered by the instructions and the plastic parts are solvent resistant... I am hoping that the models shown on this forum will inspire me (rather than destroy my hopes).
