Morning all. Thank you all for your feedback so far on my little surveys. It’s been most useful. The question about other hobbies was me wondering whether in the long run this should be a more all-encompassing community of miniaturists. With separate club rooms for each hobby. (But then RailwayModellers would be a daft app name. So this is on hold for now. And then regarding special interest groups, the general consensus is that 99% of people use the club room because that’s were 99% of people are. That said, there were a good chunk of folks that like to members layouts groups. So… my plan here is: 1. Remove most of the special interest groups we set up from the start (layout electronics etc) and move everything into the main clubroom 2. Community spirit is the biggest part of this whole thing. And I’d like to keep the members layouts groups (for the foreseeable) but make them mandatory. Hear me out on this. You won’t see more posts or be inundated with stuff. But it will mean members will be more encouraged to use their groups as the posts will still be visible in everyone’s main feed on the app/website. It just means layout specific content will at least be structured and much easier to find should you want to. I don’t want to just delete all members groups as that would just be mean. And there’s some brilliant content in quite a few of them. It just doesn’t get seen. That said… any groups owned by members that have been dormant for 12 months or more will either be archived or removed to clean things up a bit. Those are my thoughts as of this morning anyway. No massive changes. Just trying to do some housekeeping. 👍
