Over the past month or so, I've been trying to install Cobalt IP digital point motors. Originally, the plan was run these off a DCC Concepts Sniffer on a separate accessory bus. Somehow, Numpty has managed to kill the Sniffer! Track power is provided by an NCE Powercab. As there are only 5 points (all Cobalts), I am now minded to power the Cobalts (controlled by SPDT switches) from the track bus. The Sniffer was only used in the first place because it came from a previous dismantled layout, and it seemed a pity not to make use of it. What do others with small layouts use to control them? Do you have separate track and accessory buses? Your thoughts and advice would be appreciated.
