Much was learnt from the building of the Engine Shed, not least that I was not going to be able to print white window frames onto the sticky-back transparency I had used for the long windows as there is no such thing as 'white' printer ink....🤣. So a new method of construction was devised: 1: Plot the outline of the building to scale in MS Paintbrush. At this stage doors and window frames are included and can be coloured for printing on plain paper. 2: The printed plot is used as a template to create the following: - clear acrylic panels for the building walls - a duplicate on self-adhesive paper (blank CD labels in this case) which will be stuck onto the acrylic to produce the final window frame and doors. - a duplicate on the wrap to be used for the outer finish (e.g. brick / stone) - a mirror duplicate for any internal wall finishes (SMS X148-N Weathered Sandstone Ashlars) in this example 3: The acrylic is glued together to create the building shell 4: The self-adhesive layer is stuck to the outer surface of the acrylic (having previously removed the 'window glass') 5: Any inner wrap is applied 6: The outer wrap is applied 7: Roofs are applied (card wrapped in SMS TX014-N Weathered Slate Roofing)
