Three or so years ago, I started several upgrades to a Lima GWR Railcar. They didn't work too well, so it's been languishing in a cupboard. Finally, I've pulled my finger out and completed them over the weekend. Old oversized couplings removed, tick. Replacement Strathpeffer Junction motor fitted, tick. Decoder hard wired in and working, tick. Now runs pretty well and quietly. On the video, it's on speed step 1/28. Cost of loco plus bits I've had to buy, about £25.
